摘要: Hydrogen sulfide oxidation on sewer pipe surfaces was investigated in a pilot scale experimental setup. The experiments were aimed at replicating conditions gravity located immediately downstream of force main where related concrete corrosion and odor is often observed. During the experiments, hydrogen gas injected intermittently into headspace partially filled plastic (PVC HDPE) pipes concentrations approximately 1,000 ppm(v). Between each injection, concentration monitored while it decreased because adsorption subsequent surfaces. showed that rate two orders magnitude faster than Removal layer reaction (corrosion) products from found to reduce significantly.
