摘要: Sulfide buildup in sewer networks is associated with several problems, including health impacts, corrosion of structures and odor nuisance. In recent years, significant advances the knowledge major processes governing sulfide have been made. This paper summarizes this newly obtained emphasizes important implications findings. Model simulations in-sewer for sulfur cycle showed that oxidation wetted biofilm typically most sink dissolved gravity sewers. However, emission thereby potential hydrogen atmosphere particular importance sewers constructed large diameter pipes, steep slopes conveying low pH wastewater. Precipitation metal sulfides only when concentration wastewater low; i.e. less than 1 g S m−3.
