摘要: It can be argued correctly that any vaccine reduces the reproductive potential of a pathogen is transmission-blocking vaccine; in context malaria, cover-all term ‘vaccines interrupt malaria transmission’ (VIMT) has recently been invoked to describe such products. Vaccines impact transmission parasite from vertebrate host mosquito vector—previously termed vaccines (TBV)—have consequently renamed ‘sexual, sporogonic and stage (SSM-VIMT)’, distinguish them pre-erythrocytic targeting sporozoite as it travels hepatocyte. In this chapter, we confine our discussion TBV classically described.
