摘要: There is a growing interest in the use of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) for allogeneic transplantation. This due part to idea that, as with autologous transplantation, increasing number hemopoietic progenitors infused may lead reduced complications. However, introducing PBSC technique into transplants implies theoretical well ethical problems involving both patient and donor. We are still uncertain whether will result an increase GVHD or (better) GVL. G-CSF, necessary effective mobilization, safe but its normal subjects should be regarded caution. For this reason, Study Committee promoted by GITMO (Gruppo Italiano Trapianto di Midollo Osseo) evaluated key aspects collection The present paper summarizes scientific data suggests some guidelines introduction transplantation clinical practice. procedure considered experimental strongly recommends experienced centers, initially patients advanced disease. donor given complete explanation advantages risks G-CSF therapy, leukapheresis general anesthesia. A careful monitoring also included watch short-term long-term side effects.
