Four individualized telephone counseling sessions occur at weeks 2, 5, 7, 9, times greatest risk relapse. Study outcome measures collected baseline, 1, 3, 6, 12 months post quit date. Primary outcomes expired air carbon monoxide verified 7-day point-prevalence measurement period. Secondary assess changes cravings, withdrawal symptoms, self-efficacy, treatment adherence. Additionally, staff using path analysis. Determining efficacy evidence based approaches critical issue facing field today. provides model development implementation intervention addresses gap by examining associated with U.S. National Institutes Health Clinical Trials NCT01633567 Registered 30 May 2012.
