摘要: Smoking prevalence rates among the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) population are significantly higher than general population. However, there is limited research on smoking cessation treatments in this group, particularly culturally targeted interventions. Moreover, few interventions that address specific psychosocial variables (e.g., minority stress) may influence outcomes. This paper describes protocol for a comparative effectiveness trial testing an evidence-based program, Courage to Quit, against tailored version LGBT smokers, examines role of To examine versus standard intervention, study utilizes 2-arm block, randomized, control (RCT) design.
