摘要: PURPOSE To examine the benefits of a culturally targeted compared with nontargeted smoking cessation intervention on outcomes among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) smokers. METHODS A prospective randomized design was used to evaluate added an LGBT Courage Quit (CTQ-CT) treatment (N = 172) standard (CTQ; N 173). The program consisted six sessions combined 8 weeks nicotine replacement therapy. primary outcome 7-day point prevalence quit rates. Secondary examined included changes in dependence, withdrawal, cigarettes per day, urges, self-efficacy, readiness quit. RESULTS Overall rates were 31.9% at 1 month, 21.1% 3 months, 25.8% 6 22.3% 12 months. did not differ between groups [1 month OR 0.81 (0.32, 2.09), months 0.65 (0.23, 1.78), 0.45 (0.17, 1.21), 0.70 (0.26, 1.91)].
