摘要: For every ten students who enter college in the United States, only four will graduate from that years later. One more eventually at some point after those years. Of five dropped out of altogether, reenroll a different college, and reenrollees, two graduate. six out, three did so during first year. Two second year, last one Three originally entered never obtain degree. This means estimated 7.6 million undergraduate enrolled U.S. 1971, roughly 2.3 drop higher education completely (Eckland, 1964a; Iffert, 1957; Statistical Abstracts, 1974). In terms sheer numbers, attrition problem deserves attention interested affiliated with institutions education. From institutional view, has heavy impact on operations finance. student's effect dropping although difficult to gauge, is also another important aspect problem.
