摘要: Nine healthy subjects were studied under control conditions and following 5 mo of heavy resistance training wk immobilization in elbow casts. Needle biopsies taken from triceps brachii analyzed for adenosine triphosphate (ATP), diphosphate (ADP), creatine (C), phosphate (CP, glycogen concentrations. Training resulted an 11% increase arm circumference a 28% maximal extension strength. Immobilization decreases strength 5% 35%, respectively. also significant increases resting concentrations muscle (by 39%), CP 22%), ATP 18%), 66%). Conversely, significantly reduced concentration by 25% 40%. It was concluded that heavy-resistance results energy reserves which may be reversed period immobilization-induced disuse.
