摘要: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory cell-mediated disease affecting skin and joints, histologically characterized by epidermal hyperplasia abnormal differentiation of keratinocytes. Plaque psoriasis, which the most prevalent form disease, clinically raised, inflamed, erythematous lesions covered white silvery scales, located on elbows, knees, scalp, lower back, forearms, hands feet. Several drugs are available for management moderate-to-severe plaque including topical systemic treatments. Calcitriol (1,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3) biologically active vitamin D3 it can be used topically as both primary adjunctive therapy psoriasis. Based evidence that calcitriol inhibits proliferation induces cells, this hormone has been successfully in treatment This article reviews effectiveness safety patients with psoriasis recent findings related mechanism action.
