摘要: Aim. Previous research suggests proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching techniques produce greater increases in range of motion than static or ballistic. The purpose this study was to determine the isometric contraction hold time that best produces gains hip after a 3-s (3-HR), 6-second (6-HR), and 10-s (10-HR) hold-relax PNF stretch. Methods. experimental design within subjects repeated measures 2 factor (baseline treatment) by 3 (3-HR, 6-HR, 10-HR) ANOVA. dependent variable hamstring flexibility as measured degrees passive flexion with knee extended. Measurements were taken university athletic therapy clinic. Sixty active individuals without history injury volunteered for study. Each subject randomly assigned 3-HR, 10-HR group All passively end times goniometric measurement taken. then performed stretch either another An average each these trials calculated. Results. data analysis revealed significant main effect difference (F 1,5 7 ±633.97, p<.001, η =0.918) between baseline treatment measurements. There no differences groups interaction term. Conclusion. hold-time conditions produced compared application findings suggest clinicians could choose any hold-times same result patient joint flexibility.
