摘要: Vegetable crop species have been used extensively in tissue culture research. Notable examples include carrot cell and embryogenesis research potato protoplast manipulation regeneration studies. Many reviews elucidated the application of cell, tissue, organ techniques to vegetable (e.g. Bottino, 1981; Harney, 1982; Ammirato et al., 1984; George & Sherrington, Sharp Bajaj, 1986; Evans 1987). Specifically, vitro multiply plants by embryogenesis, organogenesis, non-adventitious shoot proliferation are reported literature with many species. However, unlike ornamental fruit species, most vegetables received only limited commercial interest beyond production applications within certain private industries such as seed plant biotechnology companies. Most edible crops seed-propagated, which is significantly less expensive than micropropagation, even when field establishment originates from hybrid seedling transplants. Anderson al. (1977) estimated broccoli micropropagation cost 11.6¢ U.S. per micropropagule lab greenhouse an additional 3.8¢ achieve transplant size. The final (from field-ready plant) 1977 was calculated be 15.4¢ No comparison given for comparable -derived
