摘要: The monitoring of spinal deformity uses many techniques: clinical history and physical examination for patient status, radiography precise delineation Cobb angle, topography to quantify cosmesis approximate the angle. Experience with a system based on Raster photography has shown that adequate correlation angle is achieved, but relationship between curvature cosmetic effect not simple. A measure was developed asymmetry back, making it available statistical analysis, without expressing in terms or referring trunk balance rotation. calculation expresses symmetry about median saggittal plane (first thoracic vertebra natal cleft), reflecting right half onto left measuring three-dimensional displacement corresponding fixed points trunk. Tolerance limits were calculated angles using routine scans analysed. There statistically significant correlations all vectors except middle antero-posterior. All correlated each other, again Z anteroposterior which only lowermost sets. Applied natural surgical outcome, this new parameter provides different quantification back shape can be used both assessment monitoring, evaluation (as opposed radiological) treatment, aetiology studies.
