摘要: In the last decades, assessment of trunk posture and motion has gained importance in clinical practice, several instrumental non-invasive techniques have been developed to overcome limitations manual radiological methods. Despite large effort spent improving underlying technologies, actual role these measures setting remains still undefined due a variety issues. The main question concerns provision parameters providing significant contribution decision making. this paper, we review available spine surface measurement from technical viewpoint, point out their current potential applications according perspective. Conclusions are drawn on basis both features accessibility daily as well validity, reliability value provided parameters. A well-defined is established for topography follow-up sagittal plane deformities, adulthood scoliosis disorders involving spino-pelvic alignment. Conversely, further studies required identify reliable key use (adolescent scoliosis, back neck pain), occupational (measurement exposure mechanical loads) forensic (assessment segmental functional impairments) fields.
