摘要: Abstract The goal of this study was to determine some the factors that contribute developmental differences in using cues retrieve specific memories. Second- and fifth-grade children college adults were shown adjective noun-noun word stimulus events (e.g., bloody axe-sword), which adjectives strongly modified event meaning, asked acquisition orienting questions amplified (specific questions) or diluted (category specification. In addition, stimuli presented once only (one trial) there a repeated presentation with constant varied question on second presentation. At retrieval, retrieval same as questions, semantically related no asked, reinstated context (adjective noun cues) represented nominal type experienced (noun cues). one-trial results showed had less success than for relative also used particularly ineffectively. repetitions these patterns predictable ways. suggest information may mediate use memory tokens, seems more salient adult child representations memory.
