摘要: A portable analytical chemistry analyzer was used to make field assessments of wild harlequin ducks ( Histrionicus histrionicus) in association with telemetry studies winter survival Prince William Sound, Alaska. We compared serum results obtained on-site from a traditional laboratory. Particular attention paid glucose and potassium concentrations as potential indicators high-risk surgical candidates based on evaluation the data. The median differential for values 𝑁 = 8 2 ) between methods 0.6 mmol/L (quartiles 0.3 0.9 mmol/L) value higher when assayed site. Analysis site returned 2.7 mmol/L ; quartiles 2.4 3.0 mmol/L). Serum were too low quantitation by Changes several following three-day storm during study support identify presurgical patients increased anesthetic risk.
