摘要: Generalized weakness of acute onset, apparent muscular pain, and persistent ventroflexion the neck were observed in 6 cats. These clinical signs associated with a low serum potassium concentration high creatine kinase activity. electromyographic abnormalities, together normal motor nerve conduction velocity determinations, detected all Muscle biopsy specimens from 4 5 cats not abnormal on light microscopic examination. Mild necrosis infrequent macrophages evident muscle specimen one cat. Signs polymyopathy resolved cats, activities returned to range after parenteral oral administration potassium. Polymyopathy hypokalemia recurred 3 which dietary supplementation was maintained initial recovery hypokalemic polymyopathy.
