摘要: Abstract Bacitracin, a polypeptide antibiotic, is one of the most commonly used antibiotics in world. The approved method analysis for bacitracin microbial. To correlate microbiological with high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method, was chromatographed using HPLC ultraviolet detection and YMC basic column. Adequate separation isomers obtained to scale up this procedure preparative Prep system 250 × 21 mm various fractions were separated, isolated examined microbial activity. individual could be precipitated by adding zinc or methylene disalicylic acid lowering pH. crude recycled ensure purity. chromatograms can accurately predict (in minutes) microbiologically determined potency which usually takes 16–24 h develop. also provides information on amounts degradation products present sample, whereas assay only activities potencies antibiotic. reported possesses some advantages over other published methods terms accuracy time analysis.
