Rheology and pressure filtration of aqueous SiC suspensions of nanometer-sized bimodal particles

摘要: Abstract The consolidation behavior of mixed SiC particles (30 and 800 nm diameters) at pH 7 was examined using a developed pressure filtration apparatus constant crosshead speed piston. addition 30 nm to changed the rheological properties colloidal suspension from Newtonian pseudoplastic flow through Bingham with increasing amount SiC. A phase transition well dispersed flocculated occurred when applied exceeded critical (Δ P tc ). Δ value decreased packing density bimodal analyzed based on partial molar volume each powder. larger were more densely packed than smaller in powder compact.
