摘要: Initial human genome sequence analysis has revealed large segments of nearly identical in particular chromosomal regions. The recent origin these and their abundance (approximately 5%) challenged investigators to elucidate underlying mechanism role primate evolution. Although the precise fraction is unknown, some duplicated have recently been shown be associated with rapid gene innovation rearrangement genomes man great apes.
