摘要: Economic values from the protection of natural environments such as wilderness, can be grouped into eight categories: recreation, community, passive use, scientific, biodiversity, off-site, ecological services, and education. This article reviews what is known about these values. While monetary calcu- lated for only a few benefit categories some benefits within those categories, estimated amount to U.S. $3 4 billion dollars annually.
