摘要: Arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM) have been shown to increase plant resistance root-rotting pathogens. This study was conducted determine whether a commercial peat-based medium containing the AM fungusGlomus intraradix (Schenck & Smith) could influence postharvest progression of tuber dry rot in prenuclear minitubers potato (Solanum tuberosum). Minitubers grown this had significantly less (20–90% reduction) when later inoculated with fungusFusarium sambucinum relative an identical without fungus. disease suppression also demonstrated high-input greenhouse, and occurred despite only trace levels colonization parent plants, no evidence enhanced phosphorus nutrition or differences minituber mineral content. These results suggest that fungal inoculum has potential for use potato.
