Taking Spiritual History in Clinical Practice: A Systematic Review of Instruments

摘要: Background To facilitate the addressing of spirituality in clinical practice, several authors have created instruments for obtaining a spiritual history. However, only few studies compared these instruments. The aim this study was to compare most commonly used taking history setting. Methods A systematic review assessment conducted five stages: identification literature (databases searching); relevant articles from title and initial abstract review; exclusion Inclusion criteria; full text retrieval final analysis each instrument. Results total 2,641 were retrieved after analysis, 25 included. independently evaluated instrument on 16 different aspects. with greatest scores FICA, SPIRITual History, FAITH, HOPE, Royal College Psychiatrists. Concerning all instruments, 20 inquire about influence person's life 17 address religious coping. Nevertheless, four medical practices not allowed, six deal terminal events, nine mnemonics their use, validated. Conclusions Psychiatrists scored higher our analysis. use must be individualized, according professional reality, time available, patient profile, settings.
