Firmware update using rest over IPMI interface

摘要: Technologies are described herein for a representational state transfer (“REST” or “RESTful”) over an Intelligent Platform Management Interface (“IPMI”) interface firmware to baseboard management controller (“BMC”) communication and applications thereof. These include, but not limited to, remote configuration, updates, peripheral device provision of information such as system inventory data, cloning batch migration configuration settings, integrity monitoring. This functionality can be provided in way that enables between BMCs utilize modern manageability interfaces while maintaining backward compatibility with previous IPMI implementations.
