摘要: Abstract. Particle precipitation of magnetospheric origin causes additional ionization in the auroral zone at E-layer heights. During night-time, particular winter-night, may dominate over F2-layer level. To study geophysical conditions and characteristics related ionospheric processes more detail, we use GPS radio occultation electron density profile retrievals from CHAMP Formosat-3/COSMIC to extract those vertical profiles which show absolute maximum height range 90–150 km. In order select these profiles, have developed an algorithm can recognize shape a given by fitting empirical Ansatz it. Using data collected since 2002 starting 2006, are able both, local-time dependence solar-cylce variability observed processes.
