摘要: Abstract Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) based radio occultation (RO) technique has shown powerful ability in ionospheric electron density profiling the past decade. The most frequently used Abel inversion method retrieval some biases because of spherical symmetry assumption. Our previous series simulations and evaluations mainly concentrated middle low latitude regions have systematical bias especially lower altitude region. However, RO derived quality high polar region is rarely investigated not quantitatively clear yet. In this study, error over are systematically for first time on NCAR-TIEGCM real data evaluations. TIMED driven modeled during 2008 to simulate COSMIC events. can then be estimated by comparing retrievals from TIEGCM simulated with original simulations. reproduce season, altitude, latitude, local variation patterns auroral zone nighttime enhancement well tends underestimate overestimate it both equatorward poleward sides zone. As model, significant relative (>25%) occurs (
