摘要: Increased oxidative stress is a common feature observed in many different types of cancer. Depending on the radical formed, its concentration, and cellular location where generation occurs, reactive oxygen species (ROS) have multiple functions within tumor cells. ROS-induced macromolecule damage can contribute to initiation. Low levels ROS initiate signaling pathways that mediate cell proliferation, survival progression metastatic phenotype. High death, but also formation cancer stem cells induce recurrence. Understanding multitude complexity ROS-regulated targeted modulation intracellular using antioxidants or chemotherapy at stages may be an effective strategy for combination therapy.
