摘要: We determined the gonadal histology, reproductive characteristics and implications for management of Oxygymnocypris stewartii from individuals collected in Yarlung Zangbo River. Based on analyses gonad development size distribution oocytes, O. spawns just once each year. Peak spawning occurred between late March early April, when water temperature exceeded 5°C. The standard lengths ages at 50 % maturity males females were 273 mm 357 mm, 5.1 year 7.3 years, respectively. mean fecundity 34211 relative 25.4 eggs per gram fish body weight suggest that might be especially vulnerable to exploitation.
