摘要: We consider the problem of joint source/channel coding real-time sources, such as audio and video, for purpose multicasting over Internet. The sender injects into network multiple source layers channel (parity) layers, some which are delayed relative to source. Each receiver subscribes number that optimizes source-channel rate allocation receiver's available bandwidth packet loss probability. augment this layered FEC system with ARQ. Although feedback is normally problematic in broadcast situations, ARQ simulated by having receivers subscribe unsubscribe receive missing information. This pseudo-ARQ scheme avoids an implosion repeat requests at sender, scalable unlimited receivers. show gains up 18 dB on channels 20% systems without error control, additional 13 when augmented a hybrid system. controlled optimal policy Markov decision process.
