摘要: In this paper we focus on the deployment of certain techniques that are central to municipal law's attempt impose order city, namely, development control, zoning, and change use regulation. Drawing notion inter-legality, argue such practices can never be consistent or universal, instead need sufficiently pliable recognise diversity legal norms, assumptions evident in a multicultural city. We demonstrate with reference resolution urban land-use conflict Sydney (Australia) showing how planning decisions have flexibility within law achieve outcomes sensitive local contingency informed by notions spatial justice. conclusion suggest attempts make more unified problematic given situated discretion is required produce cities open difference diversity.
