摘要: Despite more than a century of research endeavour, there is no specific medical treatment for acute pancreatitis and early mortality high - 20% fatalities by the day after admission. I do not see any realistic prospect that today's focus on immunomodulation will provide breakthrough either. The signs are outcome determined almost at its inception, those unfortunate individuals in whom seeds precipitous course sewn declare themselves until it too late. This reappraisal evidence disease aetiogenesis has been undertaken an effort to fathom why this might be.
