摘要: Renal adaptation of the kitten to altered dietary taurine intake was assessed using proximal tubule brush border membrane (BBM) vesicles. Three groups kittens were adapted purified diets containing 43.5% soy protein that either taurine-free (OT) or contained 0.15% (NT) 1.0% (HT). The plasma concentration fed OT decreased from 104 +/- 25 microM 16 5 and 1.7 0.5 in 1 6 wk, respectively. Feeding HT increased 350 116 wk. Compared NT, accumulation by BBM vesicles significantly elevated after 4 wk feeding 2 less (P than 0.05). Maximum renal occurred (206% increase uptake/15 s compared NT) (43% decrease NT). Evaluation transport kinetics cortex four (16 determinations) (12 wk) (10 revealed a Vmax 55 10, 123 24 39 7 pmol.mg protein-1.10 s-1 Km 32 7, 37 8 microM, differences significant between NT 0.05), but not greater Our results suggest changes occurs with modifications both system.
