摘要: The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness augmented in-vehicle speed warnings on driver behavior in work zones. influence three device configurations were examined as drivers entered a zone which presented simulated driving environment. first configuration control condition used only traditional signage. second had addition visual warning while final an auditory warning. Results indicated that adding did affect compliance limit. Participants audio responded more quickly than those condition. Both differed significantly and each respectively different from Based these results we suggest combination warnings. Upon entry combined message. However, after initial phase, message shows greater promise for on-going modulation transit.
