摘要: The effects of electrical stimulation both cervical branches (C5 and C6) the right phrenic nerve on medullary respiratory neuron activity were studied in anesthetized, spontaneously breathing cats. In 14 cats, thin afferents had no effect inspiratory duration evoked excitatory or inhibitory responses only 3/86 neurons tested. 3 decreased 26/26 showed a shortened discharge without modification their frequency. Although not analysed by averaging techniques, it is concluded that do exert an important control discharge.
