摘要: BN coating on sintered SiC fibers (Tyranno SA) by continuous CVD process was developed for the interphase of SiC/SiC composites. conducted at 1580°C and pressure around 1 Torr. The reactant gases were NH 3 BCl diluted Ar. And yarn speed 4.5 mm/s. Conventional experiments showed that thickness across fiber tow varied significantly. Hence, modified not only adjustments amount gases, but also loosing bundle reduction tension setting a new furnace removing sizing agent prior to furnace. much more uniform than conventional process. coated ordered structure, nearly stoichiometric pure with little O C. strength SA retained 90% as-received fiber.
