Digital-simulation and projection of head changes in the Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifer system, coastal plain, New Jersey

摘要: From abstract: A digital model was used to simulate the response of Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifer system pumping stresses during 18-year period, 1956-73. The compute projected potentiometric heads and trends year 2000. Three sets conditions were simulated: (1) no increase in ground-water extractions, (2) continued growth extractions at rate 3 percent annually, (3) conjunction with activation a freshwater head barrier fresh-salty water transition zone.
