摘要: Mouse plasmacytoma ascites tumor cells (MOPC 460) were efficiently infected with encephalomyocarditis virus. Inhibition of host protein synthesis was evident after 2 h and complete by 4 postinfection. The mechanism which virus infection results in inhibition cell studied vitro. Cell-free protein-synthesizing systems, prepared from uninfected cells, found to be equally active respect their abilities translate cellular viral mRNAs. cell-free system also shown insensitive the addition double-stranded RNA. Host mRNA isolated cells. No difference amount or size distribution detected. However, translated only 46 49% as actively that initiation inhibited pactamycin similarly inactivated. Simultaneous RNA resulted a suppression translation message, whereas normally.
