摘要: This study proposes a novel approach for estimating the power system-wide inertial frequency response (IFR) using strategically allocated phasor measurement units (PMUs). First, method is presented to identify generator clusters that form aggregated sources of response. Then, collective dynamics each cluster are synthesised PMUs placed at key network buses. These buses identified as centres which accurately represent centre inertia motion. The proposed synthesis process ultimately yields IFR estimates zonal and global (system-wide) scales. Simulation results demonstrate methodology's ability estimate under several operating conditions, topology changes, disturbances.
