摘要: Most cotton geneticists would agree that the cottons cultivated in New World separate clearly into two well-defined species, Gossypium hirsutum L. and G. barbadense If modern annual forms are excluded from consideration, most of occur Central America southern Mexico tropical subtropical South America. The species widely sympatric Caribbean area, northern coastal Colombia through Venezuela extending Lesser Greater Antilles.
