摘要: Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is the most successful and widely employed cancer serum marker in use today. There growing evidence that introduction of wide PSA screening earlier detection can result decreased mortality associated with a decline metastatic disease. circulates number distinct forms. Measurement these addition to total significantly increases diagnostic utility. Diagnostic utility likely be further increased by adding kallikreins, cytokines, growth factors, receptors cellular adhesion factors biomarker panel. The need for multiple markers reflects multidimensional nature prostate disease which ranges from indolent benign hyperplasia inflammation, all require treatments medical interventions.
