摘要: Abstract Marine natural products are important sources of biologically active agents, and various bioactive compounds have been extracted from marine organisms like tunicates, sponges, soft corals, molluscs. These reported to modulate biological activities anti-inflammatory, antifungal, anticancer effects. sponges belonging the genus Insignia a rich source terpenoids, several which inhibit protein synthesis affect inflammatory cytokine production. terpenoids contain tetronic acid moiety show strong antibiotic activity, analgesic, anti-inflammatory properties. This chapter focuses on anti-inflammatory pharmacology organisms, their chemistry, mechanisms action pharmacological activity. Their in vitro studies further reveal that these can also be utilized as potential therapeutic agents for health problems.
