摘要: This study describes the development of neoplasms and suppression bone marrow stem cells following chronic administration cytosine-arabinoside (ara-C) in Sprague-Dawley rats. Ara-C was administered i.p. either at daily dosages 5 mg/kg 25 or pulse doses three times 500 within 1 week followed by a time interval 11 weeks. The total higher dose were chosen to be equally high. No significant carcinogenic activity ara-C could assessed these schedules. With regard general toxicity, as expressed body weight gain long-term high better least tolerated equivalent low doses.
