摘要: Part one of this paper presents a method for measuring seismic velocities and transverse isotropy in rocks using single core plug. This saves at least two‐thirds the time preparing samples transversely isotropic (TI) rocks. Using method, we have measured velocity anisotropy many shale reservoir from oil gas fields around world. We present some data paper, which include 17 brine‐saturated samples, 1 gas‐ coal sample, 8 sands, 12 gas‐saturated 32 carbonate 25 samples. The results show that clays fine layering sedimentary are main causes anisotropy. Very little intrinsic exists unfractured such as sandstones, carbonates under conditions.
