摘要: Ultrasonic measurements on spherical samples provide a good tool for the investigation and understanding of seismic anisotropy at laboratory scale. Single geological elements, like layering or fractures, often create an with transversely isotropic symmetry. For this case elastic tensor can be fully described by five independent constants. This effectively achieved cylindrical sample. lower symmetries, created superposition more than one element, nine even thirteen constant are necessary, therefore velocity measurements. In these cases add useful in box techniques.
