摘要: Studies on animal models have documented a role for the water soluble protein fraction of mesenteric lymph as conduit from hemorrhagic shock to acute lung injury and post-injury multiple organ failure. We hypothesize that is not an ultrafiltrate plasma contains specific mediators may predispose patients ALI/MOF. Mesenteric were collected critically ill or injured nine with lymphatic injuries, during semi-elective spine reconstruction, immediately before donation. Proteomic analyses performed through immuno-affinity depletion 14 most abundant proteins, GeLC-MS analyses. Overall, 548 proteins identified in undergoing surgery, which 155 uniquely present lymph. In addition, post-shock proteome was characterized by peculiar features, suggesting only partial overlap exists between trauma patients. Differential matched could be related to, coagulopathy hypercoagulability, cell lysis, pro-inflammatory responses immune system activation, extracellular matrix remodeling, lymph-specific immunomodulation vascular hypoactivity/neoangiogenesis, energy/redox metabolic adaptation trauma. conclusion, biologically different (in qualitative quantitative terms) than mere ultrafiltrate.
