摘要: Heart rate variability (HRV) is a noninvasive technique to detect changes in the autonomous nervous system. It has rarely been investigated horses with colic. Therefore, objective was assess evolution of HRV parameters and cortisol concentrations The 43 included this study were categorized into three groups according treatment (1, surgical; 2, conservative; 3, euthanized). laboratory variables measured at admission (T1), day after (T2), discharge (T3) compared between over time an ANOVA Bonferroni correction. Relationships themselves assessed by Pearson correlation coefficients. Evolution heart (HR) time, mean normal R intervals (meanNN) indicate decreased sympathetic stimulation group 1 contrast 3. For meanNN HR differed significantly 2 T1 T2. Treatment induced change response managed conservatively or surgically but not that required euthanasia. However, further studies are validity analyses
