摘要: The aim of the present experiments is to validate, in conscious dogs, tracer infusion methods measuring nonsteady turnover rates. This was done nine performed four normal dogs by infusing isotopically labeled glucose (2-3H, 6-3H, 1-14C) and monitoring concentrations both unlabeled substances. validation based on observation that a high exogenous will suppress endogenous production become sole source body. By at high, time-varying rate, calculating its rate appearance, (Ra) comparing it infused method can be verified. calculations were on: a) single-compartment model with modified volume distribution; b) two-compartment model; c) generalized dispersion model. absolute values areas deviations calculated from curves found be, respectively, 9.5, 8.4, 7.8 percent total area under curve. It concluded reliably measure Ra when changing rapidly, system out steady state.
