摘要: The explosive growth of the Internet has come with increasing diversity and heterogeneity in terms client device capability, network bandwidth, user preferences. To date, most Web content been designed desktop computers mind, often contains rich media such as images, audio, video. In many cases, this is not suitable for devices like netTVs, handheld computers, personal digital assistants, smart phones relatively limited display storage, processing power, access. Thus, access still constrained on these there a need to develop alternative approaches information delivery. paper, we propose framework adaptive delivery heterogeneous environments. goal improve accessibility perceived quality service under changing viewer conditions. includes adaptation algorithms, capability bandwidth discovery methods, Decision Engine determining when how adapt content. We describe framework, initial system implementations based upon issues associated deployment systems different architectures.
