摘要: Uncontrolled blood pressure (BP) is linked to increased risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). However, few studies have assessed the impact this relationship among blacks with metabolic syndrome (MetS). Data for study were collected from 1035 (mean age=62±13 years) enrolled in Metabolic Syndrome Outcome study. Patients a score ⩾6 on Apnea Risk Evaluation System considered at OSA. Of sample, 77.1% low-to-high OSA and 92.3% hypertensive, which 16.8% had uncontrolled BP levels. Analysis also showed that 60.4% diabetic, 8.9% stroke history, 74.3% dyslipidemia, 69.8% obese 30.9% history heart disease. Logistic regression analyses employed investigate associations between risk, while adjusting known covariates. Findings independently odds twofold (odds ratio=2.02, 95% confidence interval=1.18-3.48, P<0.05). In conclusion, our findings show was associated greater blacks, suggesting those MetS who should be screened presence
