摘要: Evaluation of patient outcome for end-stage renal disease patients is an important component the comparison treatment protocols. End-stage mortality comparisons are facilitated by availability relevant data in administrative databases. The standardized ratio has been widely used community such evaluation. Accurate methods evaluating adjusted with shown, even when there few deaths expected. Both confidence interval and probability value calculations shown. Classification errors identification elevated will occur accurate calculations. Criteria choosing adjustment factors reviewed. Only those that result unavoidable variation should be for. Analysts using US Renal Data System death rate tables computations must calculate follow-up same System. In particular, include postwithdrawal posttransfer but not first 90 days disease. Methods to a regional norm presented.
