摘要: This chapter will review evidence that a structural reorganization of the central terminals axotomized primary afferents contributes to pathogenesis peripheral neuropathic pain. Peripheral or neurogenic pain is resulting from lesion disorder nervous system and includes number diverse conditions, commonest which are; trigeminal neuralgia, postherpetic painful diabetic neuropathy, reflex sympathetic dystrophies, mononeuropathies nerve injury. Patients typically present with characteristic set sensory disorders; constant burning pain, partial loss sensitivity, tactile cold allodynia (the production in response low intensitiy stimuli) hyperpathia (abnormal sensations) repeated stimulation.
